Area H2O Hard Water Shampoo & Conditioner for Coloured Hair

"Area H20 - Your water + our science = Great Hair"

I live just outside London in a hard water area, anyone who lives in a hard water area will know the noticeable difference in their hair, when on holiday in a soft water area. You notice the transformation straight away, hair is easier to untangle, softer and you will use significantly less shampoo whilst creating a fantastic lather!
Now, how amazing would it be to recreate these effects without going anywhere, or changing your water type? this is what Area H20 claims to do.

Here's what Area H20 has to say:

The revolutionary Area H20 range is scientifically formulated to combat the effects of mineral deposits on hair in hard water areas.
Water is categorised into three types, Hard, Medium and Soft. The more minerals water contains the 'harder' it becomes. As water becomes 'harder' it also becomes more damaging for our hair as it binds tiny limescale molecules to the lengths, soft water however can cause hair to become slippery and unmanageable.
Area H20 Hard Water Shampoo – Coloured Hair cleanses and protects hair colour from natural mineral deposits that build up during washing in hard water areas. This revolutionary range leaves your hair cleaner, smoother, less flyaway with brilliant shine and colour intensity.

When I was given the opportunity to try these out, I jumped at the chance! I have to say I'm not overly keen on the packing, it's very clinical and not that pleasing on the eye but beauty's skin deep right?! I open the shampoo, the first thing i notice is the fantastic fragrance, I close my eyes and breathe in the heavenly scent of apple orchids. I have very long hair, but only a small amount of shampoo was needed to obtain a rather amazing lather. I repeat twice as the intrusions advice. After rinsing I notice my hair is squeaky, I can only imagine this means its extra clean. I apply the conditioner hoping to relieve the squeaky dry feeling, but find it displeasing and distinctly average. No nice orchid smell here! Needless to say, this is only my opinion and may work well on someone else.

My hair is left incredibly shiny, smooth, soft and smells luscious. My bleached hair is bright and back to its newly bleached self. It's a winner for me, however I will not purchase the conditioner.

You can purchase H2O Area Shampoo and Conditioner here. Shampoo retails at £9.95 as does Conditioner.
